Formatting & Referencing
CNAWS allows two distinct referencing formats. Authors may choose either:
Option 1: Chicago Style
Academic Standard
- Use proper Chicago-style citations
- Include endnotes for all references
Option 2: Embedded Hyperlinks
Digital Publication
- Use hyperlinks within the text for sources
- Ensure links are credible and functional
Do not mix both styles in a single submission.

AI Use Policy
CNAWS follows a pragmatic and transparent approach toward the use of Artificial Intelligence in research and writing.
Permitted Use
- Information gathering and preliminary research
- Structuring or organizing large datasets
- Analysis of numerical or structured data
- Language refinement, editing, and clarity enhancement
Strict Requirements
AI must not be used to generate core arguments, analysis, or conclusions without human intellectual ownership.
Declaration
All authors must include a written and signed undertaking stating whether AI tools were used and for what specific purpose.
